太平馆餐厅 @Kowloon

We had an informal primary school reunion dinner at this restaurant, as recommended by a friend’s friend who is a Hongkonger.  Check out our scrumptious dinner below. 🙂

Yummy Beef Fried Rice noodles wif special sauce - more than enuf for 2!

This is the best dessert - TPK Baked Souffle! Must try :)

All the above 3 dishes are their signature dishes, we also ordered another chef recommendation “TPK Swiss Sauce Chicken Wings” which was tasty too, but I was too busy eating tat I forgot to take a shot. LOL. Nonetheless my favourite is still the Baked Souffle! It’s so soft tat it melts in the mouth! No matter how full u r (which we were cos of the really big portion of beef hor fun) u gotta stuff some in yr mouth b4 u can call it a day at TPK! Hehe

As 2 of my frens cannot eat beef, they ordered the Baked Portugese Style Chicken wif rice which both of them liked too. Although the prices at this restaurant doesn’t look cheap (e.g. roasted young pigeon costs abt HK$120), but the portions are big. Our total bill for 4 of us came up to HK$559 (abt SG$105). I’ll visit this restaurant the next time I go to HK again 🙂

It has more than 100 years in history and currently there are 4 outlets in HK – Tsimshatsui, Kowloon, Stanley & Causeway Bay. The waiters at the restaurant in Kowloon all looked like they have served their “lives” for this restaurant. Some can speak English pretty well too 🙂 Check out their official website at http://www.taipingkoon.com/home.html

TPK restaurant shall be in my HK highly recommended food list ^-^
