We went 2x to 许留山 (Hui Lau Shan), once at Causeway Bay & another time at Tsimshatsui. The one at Causeway Bay was soooo crowded & cramped! There was a long q outside for takeaways too. We managed to grab 2 seats side-by-side & ordered the following:
We found the mango quite sour & not as “wow” as I thought fr the rave reviews. Each bowl of dessert wasn’t cheap tho, costed HK$30 (approx. S$5.70) each.
We visited a 2nd time at Tsimshatsui again becos we wanted to give 许留山 one last chance b4 we left on our last day. LOL.
We still found their desserts over-rated. The 燕窝炖奶 (HK$26) tasted funny, maybe it’s a weird combination. The other one, 多芒鸳鸯黑糯米 (HK$30) was ok but bcos we had tried a beta version at 满记 2 days back, this still couldn’t convert us to become their fans. keke
This dessert chain is worth a try if u r a mango fan, but don’t set too high an expectation like we did. If not u may be disappted ^^
In case u wanna explore their menu & outlets b4 u go, here’s the website: http://hkhls.com/
