Han Suites Serviced Residences, Seoul

I decided to be a repeat guest to Han Suites (2-19 Yeajang Dong, Jung Gu, Seoul, Korea 100-250) for my recent winter trip to Seoul that ended just 4 days ago, since it was a pleasant stay the last time during autumn 2008. Geez, Han Suites again made me feel very welcomed & satisfied with this 6-nights’ stay! 🙂

Let me give more information/insight to this serviced residence…

It is strategically located in between Chungmuro & Myeongdong subway stations. As most (if not all) tourists to Seoul know, Myeongdong is like a tourist shopping paradise. So its location is already a plus point. It only takes about 10 minutes to walk to Myeongdong leisurely, & if you choose to walk to the other side (Chungmuro subway), it’s also not more than 10 minutes, then you will be able to access subway line 3 or 4.

This serviced residence doesn’t come with a hefty price tag. We originally booked a Studio Deluxe Twin Room which costs KRW 77,000 per night (inclusive of VAT, about S$90). However, we had a pleasant surprise as the front desk gave us a free upgrade to a Two Bedroom Deluxe Apartment! FYI, this was my second time staying at Han Suites, but both times, I was given an automatic free room upgrade hehe. So I’m not sure if it’s actually the “default” room type. But well… u get a 2-bedroom apartment at such reasonable price in an accessible location, what can you complain about? lol

A glimpse of how the Two Bedroom Deluxe Apartment looks like –

Living Room w/ a big LCD TV mounted on the wall 거실

Dining area/ Kitchen

Bedroom w/ a small CRT TV

Bathroom 욕실

Master Bedroom

Looks great & comfy right? & they seemed to have upgraded their rooms too from the last time I stayed, with a large LCD TV in the living room (previously was the old bulky 21 inch TV), more comfortable mattress in the bedroom, more spacious bathroom & new shower space. Of course it’s very clean & well maintained too. Furthermore, the washing machine is right in the apartment for private usage, with a microwave oven, fridge, iron & ironing board, & complete with stove, cooking pots & pans & kettle, cutlery etc. The only “pity” was no dish detergent is available.

In addition, there’s also the Seoul Tower view right from the apartment. We got the tower night view from our living room/ balcony (highest level, apartment #907). 🙂

Lastly, the service staff – front desk & housekeeping staff, are all courteous & helpful. The front desk staff can generally speak English relatively well (not the typical stammering Korean standard). 1 of the nights we even seek the help of a male front desk staff to help us call the BBQ Chicken delivery hotline as I wanted to try the real authentic Korean BBQ chicken, & he did without hesitation. 🙂

For more information regarding this serviced residence, just search for it on Google & you will be able to find reviews & online booking facility available.

I strongly recommend Han Suites should you visit Seoul in future. It’s definitely value for $! ^-^
