My Eastern USA + Canada Holidays, Summer 2013

Now that I am back home, I have a clearer mind to organise and write my posts on this travel blog. Hope you have read and like the first 2 posts of my 11 days of Eastern USA & Canada “adventure”. Before I continue writing on the attractions and hotels that I stayed in, see below for the travel itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive at JFK Airport (New York) and proceed to Woodbury Common Premium Outlets for shopping! Stay at Crowne Plaza Edison Hotel (New Jersey) for 2 nights;

Day 2: Take the 1-hour Statue of Liberty cruise at Pier 17, followed by a New York City tour of Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Empire State Building, United Nations and Wall Street;

Day 3: Philadelphia city tour in the morning and Washington D.C. city tour in the afternoon. Stay at Hampton Inn South (Washington D.C.) for 1 night;

Day 4: Depart for Lancaster County in State of Pennsylvania followed by a tour of Hershey’s Chocolate Factory. Stay at Radisson Harrisburg (Pennsylvania) for 1 night;

Day 5: Long coach ride to Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. Stay at Sheraton on the Falls (Niagara Falls) for 1 night;

Day 6: Maid of the Mist cruise + free & easy time at Niagara Falls till lunch, followed by a Toronto city tour in the afternoon. Stay at Toronto Don Valley Hotel & Suites (Toronto) for 1 night;

Day 7: 1-hour 1000 Islands’ cruise at Kingston, then proceed to Ottawa, Capital of Canada for a city tour. Stay at Holiday Inn Express Hotel Montreal Airport for 2 nights;

Day 8: Montreal city tour (Part I and Part II) in the morning and Quebec city tour in the afternoon;

Day 9: Depart Canada and head to state of Vermont for the following tours – Cold Hollow Apple Cider Mill, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream factory and Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks. Continue to Boston for a night’s stay at Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Boston-Peabody;

Day 10: Boston city tour (downtown & Cambridge) then continue the journey to New Jersey for a night’s stay at Hilton Newark Airport;

Day 11: Optional shopping tour to the largest shopping mall in New Jersey – Westfield Garden State Plaza Mall, followed by Times Square before flying back to Singapore.

The highlight of the trip for me was none other than Maid of the Mist cruise at Niagara Falls. From this tour, I also gained more knowledge of USA & Canada. There were other nice places as well as a few misses. Generally I had enjoyed this trip, compared to my Scandinavia trip 2 years ago.;)

Do stay tuned for my upcoming posts on this trip! ^^
