The most expensive hotel that we stayed at for this holiday was at Sheraton on the Falls at Niagara Falls, and our tour leader (oops, he kept reminding us that he should be called a tour escort in Canada instead of tour leader) kept emphasising that they are the only tour agency that lets its Niagara Falls tour groups stay at this premier hotel with a great Falls View. 😉
Anyway the hotel is really very close to the waterfalls, our room was wonderful too, check out my photos below. 🙂
Cool right? Hehe if there is really anything we have to pick for this hotel, it would be that there was a strike going on in Ontario (think was some elevator workers’ strike) and it affected the speed of the elevators in the hotel. We often had to wait a long while before we could move from floor to floor. Another grouse is the strange thing for US/ Canada hotels is the more renowned the hotel chain, the more unlikely one would be able to get free wireless internet connection. So the 5-stars Sheraton on the Falls also follow this weird rule and charges for wireless internet connection in our hotel rooms. 😦 But the consolation is there was free wireless internet connection service at the hotel lobby hee.
Besides the great room, the breakfast that we had the next morning was the best breakfast we had throughout our trip too! Breakfast was on the 13th floor with view of the waterfalls. There was also a variety of food available and the restaurant staff served us our preferred beverages at our table instead of us helping to the drinks ourselves. Here’s the “evidence”:
If only we had more time to spend at the breakfast, I would have had more time to savour the quality food and enjoy the magnificent Falls view. 🙂 I think this was the only place I went for extra serving of the food as they were really good, especially the waffles. The eggs benedict was also a pleasant surprise for me as I thought it was not easy to find nice eggs benedict haha. We also took pictures of the waterfalls again while dining at the same time.
The strategic location of the Sheraton on the Falls, together with the great room and amenities and food, as well as its proximity to the tourist attractions at Clifton Hill District, casino, Skylon Tower, Hard Rock Cafe, Planet Hollywood etc are good reasons for one to stop thinking and just book a room here at the Niagara Falls! I definitely would like to stay longer here! ^^
